
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 14) — Court of Appeals Justice Japar Dimaampao is President Rodrigo Duterte’s latest appointee to the Supreme Court.
Malacañang made public on Tuesday the letter signed by Duterte on July 2, officially appointing Dimaampao as the 191st Associate Justice of the SC.
Dimaampao, a native of Marawi City, is the second Muslim magistrate to serve in the high court. He will hold office until 2033.
The 57-year-old justice is also one of the youngest to be appointed to the CA at 40 years old. He is a graduate of the University of the East College of Law.
