
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 2)— Authorities are now investigating the fire which hit a building near SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City on Thursday.
In a statement, SM Supermalls said affected people from the Mega Tower were “safely evacuated and given immediate medical attention.”
“A joint investigation is currently ongoing,” the company said, adding that its emergency response team and personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection were immediately deployed to control the situation.
Officials raised first alarm in the area at past 10 a.m. They declared fire out at 3:50 p.m.
