
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 25) — The country received another batch of COVID-19 vaccines from US manufacturer Pfizer.
A delivery of 362,700 doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 Wednesday.
Cebu and Davao are getting 50,000 doses each while the rest of the shots will be transported to vaccine storage firm Pharmaserv Express in Marikina City, state media reported.
Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez, Jr. said the government is expecting another 25 million vaccines to be delivered next month and over 114 million more in the fourth quarter.
He reported Tuesday evening that over 48.5 million COVID-19 vaccines have so far arrived in the country in total, with over 41 million deployed to different areas and around 30.6 million administered to residents.
