Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 15) — A low pressure area spotted northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte, early on Sunday is expected to drench Central Luzon, Bicol Region, and Quezon, according to the state weather bureau.
In a briefing Sunday morning, weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said these areas could experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
However, the forecaster said the weather disturbance has a low chance of turning into a tropical depression.
He said it is possible it will dissipate in the coming days.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience fair weather with isolated rain showers, he added.
