In 2011, Pajares also joined Miss Philippines Earth, then Binibining Pilipinas in 2016 and 2017, and Miss World Philippines 2020, where she won her current title of Miss Supranational Philippines 2021.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 10) — CNN Philippines will be broadcasting live the coronation night of the Miss Supranational 2021 beauty pageant on Aug. 22 at 2 a.m.

The grand competition will be held in Sacz, Poland, with 28-year-old Dindi Pajares as the Philippines’ bet.

“This is the first time Miss Supranational will be aired in the Philippines,” said Arnold Vegafria, Miss Supranational Philippines national director.

Pajares, a pageant veteran from Orani, Bataan, will be competing against 56 other contestants in the 12th edition of the event.

The Philippines has so far won one Miss Supranational crown, with Mutya Daul’s triumph in 2013.

CNN Philippines will also be airing a replay of the event at 10 p.m. on the same day.

CNN Philippines’ Correspondent Pauline Verzosa contributed to this report.

Apart from being a beauty queen, Pajares is also an entrepreneur, flight attendant, military sergeant and reserve commander in the Philippine Air Force.

Miss Supranational 2021 was originally scheduled at the end of last year but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We were actually more than ready to field our candidates when we finalized our partnership with the Miss/Mr. Supranational organization last year, but it was unfortunate that we had to set aside our plans because of the global pandemic,” said Vegafria. “With the more optimistic global scenario these days, I’m very certain that Dindi stands a good chance of claiming the crown and putting the Philippines back on the pageant map.”
