Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 6) — The Inter-Agency Task Force has allowed the Philippine Basketball Association to resume its conference in areas under less restrictive general community quarantine and modified GCQ.
The league previously proposed to move the games to Lipa City in Batangas, which is now under GCQ with heightened restrictions.
“Should the community quarantine classification of their proposed new venue be escalated to a community quarantine classification higher than GCQ, the PBA should look for another venue that is under GCQ or MGCQ,” IATF Resolution 131 issued on Thursday read.
The 2021 PBA Philippine Cup was temporarily suspended beginning Wednesday after the announcement that Metro Manila will be placed on hard lockdown for two weeks.
