Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 22) — Boxing icon and Senator Manny Pacquiao will be back in the boxing ring as he announced his next fight against Unified WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.
On a social media post, the boxing legend said the bout is scheduled for August 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
In early May, Pacquiao said talks are ongoing for his next fight. The eight-division world boxing champion added he will announce in due time whether it will be his last in the ring.
Pacquiao last fought in July 2019 via a split decision victory over Keith Thurman, where he won the World Boxing Association super welterweight title.
He holds a 62-7-2 win-loss-draw record in his 26-year boxing career.
