
Metro Manila (CNN Phinilippines, May 10) – Filipino karateka James de los Santos notched two golds medals over the weekend as he solidifies his hold as the best ranked e-kata specialist in the world.
De Los Santos asserted his mastery over rival Matias Moreno-Domont of Switzerland after defeating the Swiss bet in the finals of the Euro Grand Prix eTournament and Katana Intercontinental League-Final Four eTournament.
With the twin victories, de los Santos has bagged a total of 18 golds in e-kata meets this year. It also raises his gold medal collection to 54, since he joined the virtual karate tournaments amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
De Los Santos maintains his lead in the world rankings with 26,695 points. He is followed by Moreno-Domont with 14,415 points, and Alfredo Bustamante of the United States with 10,675 points.
