Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 23)— Malabon Mayor Lenlen Oreta on Tuesday announced he tested positive for COVID-19.
Oreta, through his official Facebook page, said he got his swab test result today. He is asymptomatic.
“Bagamat wala akong symptoms gaya ng lagnat (While I don’t have any symptoms like fever), I will be working at home in the following days,” the mayor wrote.
Oreta underscored the need for his constituents to follow minimum health protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19 in their city.

As of March 22, Malabon has recorded a total of 8,451 coronavirus infections, of which 919 are active cases. The city also has 7,241 recoveries and 291 deaths.
