
The blaze reached the first alarm at 3:19 a.m., and the third alarm at 4:50 a.m., the BFP reported, adding the fire was declared out at 6:15 a.m. Fourteen fire trucks were needed to put out the blaze, authorities said.
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 9) — A 69-year-old woman was found dead hours after she was reported missing in a fire that gutted around 80 homes in Malate, Manila on early Tuesday, authorities said.
The early morning fire at P. Ocampo Street also left around 200 families homeless, the Bureau of Fire Protection said in a report.
No one was reported hurt, but the BFP said the incident caused damage worth around P500,000.
