Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 15) — Provincial buses with point-to-point routes can now resume operations, subject to implementing rules from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has given the go signal for the provincial buses, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said in a press briefing Tuesday.
He added that local government units of the destination areas will also be releasing their own guidelines for the resumption of the provincial buses’ operations.
Stopovers and transit terminals along the point-to-point routes will also resume operations, Roque said.
He added that the Transport Department and the LTFRB will soon release their implementing rules.
