
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 17) — Schools and local government units have implemented academic breaks for at least a week to allow students, teachers, and employees to recover from the onslaught of the recent typhoons that hit most parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
Classes are suspended in the following areas:
National Capital Region
Marikina City – classes in all levels (public and private) suspended for at least a month starting November 16
Ateneo de Manila University (grade school, junior high school, senior high school)
Schools
Ateneo de Manila University (college)
– synchronous and asynchronous classes suspended from November 16 to 21
– synchronous classes suspended, resumption of asynchronous activities from November 23 to 28
De La Salle University (all campuses)
– classes suspended from November 17 to 21
– synchronous and asynchronous classes suspended from November 16 to 20
Polytechnic University of the Philippines (all campuses)
– synchronous and asynchronous classes suspended from November 16 to 27
University of the East (Manila and Caloocan campuses)
– only asynchronous classes are held from November 16 to 21
– synchronous, asynchronous classes, and submission of course requirements suspended from November 16 to 21
