NAIA reopens, bus and train operations resume as Tropical Storm Rolly weakens

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 2) — Flight and other mass transport operations resume on Monday as once-powerful Rolly (international name: Goni) rapidly loses its strength.

Thirty-three airports nationwide have been allowed to reopen at 10am, including the country’s main airport, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The MRT-3, LRT-1 and LRT-2, and PNR are also resuming operations. The EDSA Busway has also started servicing commuters at 4 a.m.

NAIA, the railway systems, and the EDSA Busway suspended operations on Sunday as part of preemptive measures in anticipation of the wrath of then-Super Typhoon Rolly.

Rolly continues to weaken on Monday as it moves closer to the West Philippine Sea.
