Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 16) — New clusters of COVID-19 cases are among the factors that led to the increase in the coronavirus tally of Calabarzon and Bulacan, a health official said on Wednesday.
The Department of Health said they have identified 44 new clusters in CALABARZON in a span of two weeks, 41 of which are located in communities. Clustering of COVID-19 cases was also found in four communities in Bulacan since the start of September.
There are now at least 6,815 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Calabarzon, while Bulacan has over 1,400 infections, after a steady increase in the numbers over the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, the DOH noted that the following provinces and cities saw a spike in coronavirus cases in the last two weeks:

-Dagupan City
-Abra

The Philippines has a total of 269,407 COVID-19 cases, with 207,352 recoveries and 4,663 deaths.
