Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 16) — Parts of Luzon will experience rain in the coming days, as the weather bureau monitored two low pressure areas over the island.
In its latest weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said one of the LPAs was located 160 kilometers east of Tuguegarao, Cagayan, while other was 135 kilometers west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
Rains due to the LPA and the southwest monsoon (habagat) will be experienced in the following areas:
Ilocos Region
Cordillera Administrative Region
Cagayan Valley
Central Luzon
Quezon
Metro Manila
Zambales
Bataan
Occidental Mindoro
the rest of Calabarzon
Localized thunderstorm will also bring rain over the rest of the country, said PAGASA, but this would mostly be in the afternoon or evening.
The weather bureau warns residents to keep an eye out on possible flooding and landslides during severe rain or thunderstorms.
