Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 3) – Senate President Vicente Sotto III said all legislative inquiries, including the probe on the alleged corruption in Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), will still push through in the coming days.
“Hearings will not be covered by our ECQ,” said Sotto in a message to reporters. “Tuloy ang PhilHealth (hearing) tomorrow [The hearing on PhilHealth will go on tomorrow.]

Sessions are suspended until August 19.
Senators unanimously agreed for the chamber to go on 15-day ECQ. This is in support of the medical frontliners’ call for a stricter quarantine protocol.
