
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 14) — The Department of Foreign Affairs announced Tuesday that its consular office in Ali Mall, Cubao will be closed on July 15, Wednesday, for disinfection of office premises.

“Our NCR (National Capital Region) Northeast Consular Office in Ali Mall Cubao has been hit by Covid and will be closed tomorrow, July 15th, for disinfection,” DFA Undersecretary Brigido “Dodo” Dulay said in a tweet.
It is not yet clear how many personnel in the office have been infected with COVID-19. The DFA also said in an advisory that it will resume its operations in the said branch on Thursday, July 16.
“Affected applicants who have prior appointments and schedules on 15 July 2020 will be accommodated until 14 August 2020 during regular office hours,” it said.
Nationwide, the viral illness has hit over 57,000 people, some 20,000 of which have already recovered while around 1,600 have died.
