Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 10) — Eight more police officers tested positive for the coronavirus, the Philippine National Police reported on Wednesday.
The PNP said the total infected people in its ranks has now reached 382 while the death toll remains at five.
On the other hand, 11 more officers survived the illness, bringing number of recoveries to 219. The PNP also listed 1,475 probable and suspected cases.
The COVID-19 country total has breached 23,000 with 1,624 recoveries and 1,027 deaths.
