Film industry appeals for aid for displaced workers

Over 860,000 film workers are out of jobs because of the pandemic.

The Film Development Council appealed to lawmakers to include the live audio-visual content workers in Social Amelioration Program.

The FDCP has extended 20 million pesos worth of subsidy to it’s members.

But it’s worried it might not have enough funds for a second wave of cash assistance.
