Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 7) — Police authorities have reported seizing P6.8 worth of suspected shabu from four suspects during a bust in Makati City.
The suspects were arrested by authorities from Manila Police District and Southern Police District on Wednesday, the National Capital Region Police Office said in a spot report.
They were presented to the Office of the City Prosecutor in Makati City for inquest, the police added.
NCRPO also reported seizing cellular phones and ₱1,400 cash from the arrested people.
The illegal substance, which weighed more or less one kilogram, was turned over to the Southern Police District for forensic examination, NCRPO said.
The law enforcers acted on a tip that there was an ‘illegal drug trade’ in the area.
Metro Manila police chief Debold Sinas warned those who engage in illegal activities, saying cops will not be lax in its anti-criminality drive as he expressed dismay over the criminal acts amid the coronavirus crisis.
