
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 25) — The total number of health workers with COVID-19 is now at 1,101, the Department of Health reported on Saturday, after 39 more medical frontliners got the viral disease.
The agency said there are were 434 doctors, 400 nurses, 55 nursing assistants, 32 medical technologists and 21 radiologic technologists and over 150 others who have contracted the disease.
Meanwhile, the death toll remains at 26 but the DOH revised the number of doctors who died from COVID-19 from 19 to 20, while six nurses also passed away from the viral illness.
