Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 8) — Over 40,000 public utility vehicle drivers in Metro Manila may now receive their cash subsidy from the national government amid the ongoing lockdown.
The Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board said Wednesday that those who are eligible to get the cash aid may proceed to the nearest LandBank branch from 8:30 a.m. up to 3:00 p.m.

To avail of the cash aid, drivers must bring their driver’s license and a photocopy of it with two signatures.
Drivers with confiscated licenses may still bring their temporary operator’s permit, any government-issued ID with a signature and photo, and a photocopy of this ID affixed with two signatures.
Drivers with licenses that have expired last September 30, 2019 may bring their license and photocopy of it with two signatures.
Those who will bring a representative to claim the subsidy should bring a valid ID, a letter of authority with signature of the beneficiary, driver’s license or any government-issued ID of the beneficiary, and a photocopy of the ID with two signatures.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development spearheads the distribution of the social amelioration program for drivers, with the help of the LTFRB, the Department of Transportation, and LandBank, as part of the government’s P200-billion subsidy for low and middle income households affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
As of 12 noon, at least 1,000 PUV drivers have already availed of the cash aid, the LTFRB said.
The LTFRB earlier released a list of more than 4,000 qualified Transport Network Vehicle Services drivers in Metro Manila who are also eligible for cash aid.
The LTFRB targeted a total of 435,619 drivers who may receive financial assistance.
Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang PIlipino Program (4Ps) are not covered by the subsidy program for drivers to avoid duplication, the LandBank previously clarified.
