Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 7) — Those seeking medical advice on both COVID-19 or non-coronavirus related consultations can now do it in the safety of their own homes.

The Department of Health on Tuesday launched its round-the-clock telemedicine hotline for Metro Manila residents on Tuesday. Those who need to consult with a doctor for COVID-19 medical advice and non-COVID-19 health-related concerns may call (02) 8424-1724 for free.

All the doctors on the hotline are licensed and certified to provide telemedicine consultations. DOH partnered with Telimed Management Inc. and Medgate.

This comes weeks after DOH launched its COVID-19 hotlines.

Similar efforts have been undertaken by some medical groups, physicians, psychologists, and dentists. They opened online consultation services to help decongest medical facilities.
