Big-time fuel price rollback set next week

Prices of basic goods likely rose by 2.4-3.2 percent in February, with cheaper electricity, fuel, and food costs softening price movements, a unit of The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas says.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 1) — Three oil companies will make substantial reductions in prices of their fuel products next week in step with the adjustments in the international market.

Petron and Flying V will cut the rates of their gasoline and diesel or biodiesel by ₱4 per liter and kerosene will be cheaper by ₱4.50 per liter on March 17 at 6 a.m.

Price declines in world oil market triggered this drop in local pump prices.

On Friday, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines decreased the prices of their gasoline and diesel by ₱3 per liter.
