CNN Philippines (March 14) – One more patient in Batangas province has been confirmed to have the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
This takes the number of COVID-19 cases in the province to three.
The patient is from Lemery town and is isolated at the Mary Mediatrix Medical Center, the Batangas Governor’s Office said in a statement.
Katrin Buted, staff from the Governor’s office, said this is not among the latest cases by the Department of Health. DOH announced 12 new COVID-19 cases in the country on Friday, taking the total to 64.
The first two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province are from Batangas City. They are siblings, aged 72 and 79, who are now both in isolation at Asian Hospital & Medical Center in Muntinlupa City, according to Dr. Rosanna A. Barrion, Batangas City health officer.
This has prompted Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas also to suspend classes in all levels until the end of March.
