Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 10) — Senator Joel Villanueva’s mother, Dory Villanueva died Tuesday. She was 73.
In an Instagram post, the senator posted a photo of him holding his mother’s hand.
“Paalam sa pinakamamahal ko sa lahat ng mahal,” the post said.
“the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Job 1:21,” it added.
Dory, who was the wife of evangelist and pastor Eddie Villanueva, was honored in the Facebook page of the Jesus Is Lord movement.
“At 5:50pm today, we have lost a spiritual mother, a competent teacher, a prayer warrior, and a model of faith. After going through fatal arrhythmia secondary to septic shock, Ate Dory is now resting in the arms of her Maker and Savior. She is now face to face with the God she served all these years, true to the words of St. Paul, “For to me to live is Christ, to die is gain (Philippians 1:21),” it said.
