Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 10) – Wanting to catch your favorite celebrities at GMA and ABS-CBN shows? You may have to wait until the coronavirus outbreak fizzles out.
GMA shows “All-Out Sundays,” “Centerstage,” “Mars Pa More,” “Wowowin,” “Wowowin Primetime,” “Idol sa Kusina,” “The Boobay and Tekla Show,” “Sarap ‘Di Ba?” and “Tonight With Arnold Clavio” will also not be taping with a live audience.
Fans of ABS-CBN shows “It’s Showtime,” “ASAP Natin ‘To,” ,” “Magandang Buhay,” “Banana Sundae,” and “I Can See Your Voice” can no longer watch these programs live, at least for a while.
“ABS-CBN has decided to temporarily stop admitting studio audience to its shows starting today (10 March 2020), following the government’s declaration of a state of public health emergency,” the media giant said in a statement Tuesday.
ABS-CBN said they decided to temporarily ban live audience to “help in preventing the spread of the COVID-19” as well as protect the safety and well-being of their artists and fans, crew, and production teams.

“These measures are being undertaken to help ensure the safety and well-being of all concerned and as part of GMA’s cooperation with the government in its efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19,” GMA said in a statement.
“Eat Bulaga,” the longest-running noontime show in the country which airs on GMA, has earlier announced that it will temporarily stop admitting a live audience.
This move was announced as the number of COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 33 on Tuesday, some of them through local transmission.
