Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 26) — Volleyball season begins next week as the University Athletic Association of the Philippines released the new and updated schedule for the first round of volleyball tournament.
The University of the East and Far Eastern University will open the tournament on Tuesday, March 3, at Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
The matches were supposed to begin on Feb. 15 but the UAAP board postponed the event over the coronavirus threat.
All games will be held at MOA Arena in Pasay City and PhilSports Arena in Pasig City. Some games will be held every Tuesday aside from the usual Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.
A new scheme will be followed as each playdate will have alternating division matches.
The men’s division games will be at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., while the women’s division games will be at 10:30 a.m and 3:30 p.m.
The same teams will play in the men’s and women’s games per playdate in the first round.
