A Senate inquiry on the franchise of ABS-CBN that’s happening this morning.
It’s the first time lawmakers will take up the matter after the country’s top lawyer filed a case against the media giant before the Supreme Court.
A few days before today’s hearing, celebrities joined employees of ABS-CBN in boosting calls to renew the network’s franchise. Last Friday, they gathered in front of the ABS-CBN compound to show their support for the media giant.
