Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 8) — English singer Sam Smith was blown away by a Filipino boy caught on video belting to their 2017 hit “Too Good at Goodbyes” on a karaoke machine in a mall.

“WHO IS THIS KID!!!!!? YOU ARE OUT OF THIS UNIVERSE WHOEVER YOU ARE ❤️,” Smith wrote Saturday on Twitter.

The balladeer turned out to be Carl Malone Montecido, a blind boy from Bacolod City.

Montecido had previously joined TV singing competitions, including Pilipinas Got Talent and Tawag ng Tanghalan, where he became a finalist.

The video of the boy was first posted to Facebook and has since garnered over three million views.
