
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 6) — Police rescued a Chinese national from his eight alleged kidnappers, who are also Chinese nationals, in Parañaque City Thursday.
The police Anti-Kidnapping Group said the victim is 32-year-old Benqin Zhang, who stays in a hotel in Pasay City.
Police said the hotel security officer contacted them on February 5 at 4 a.m, to report the kidnapping.
The police and the hotel security team found Zhang along a road in Paranaque City with both hands tied in packaging tape and blindfolded.
Based on Zhang’s desciption about the kidnap group, the authorities spotted a black Ford Everest with no license plate around the area. They gave chase and were able to corner the suspects.
Police confiscated a caliber 45 inside the vehicle.
The eight Chinese nationals will face charges.
