Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 6) — Heart Evangelista just spent her day rescuing animals affected by the Taal Volcano eruption.
The model-actress, who serves as spokesperson of the group, can be seen donning a loose volunteer shirt, a cap and an N95 mask while carrying and embracing stray dogs in the area.
“Don’t worry little one, we’re all doing what we can to give all of you the love and care you need during this time,” Heart said.
Heart has been working with PAWS for 13 years, a non-profit organization which campaigns against animal cruelty and pet neglect.
Apart from cash donations, PAWS is still in need of chicken feed, hog feed, grass or hay, fresh drinking water, and N95 masks for its rescue efforts for Taal-affected animals.

In her latest Instagram posts, Heart showed photos of herself joining Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) on site to help the team in providing food and basic veterinary care to hungry and abandoned animals near Taal.
