
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 28) — Three people were shot dead while their two companions – both minors – were wounded in an ambush in Taguig City Tuesday afternoon.
The National Capital Region Police Office said the victims were onboard a black car traversing General Santos Avenue in front of the Department of Science and Technology’s central office in Bicutan when four unidentified men fired shots at them. The suspects immediately fled the crime scene, where police recovered two deformed bullets and a magazine with two live ammunitions.
Two Chinese nationals aged 40 and 43 were killed, along with a 38-year-old Filipino company driver.
Two girls, aged 5 and 12 were rushed to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital for treatment after sustaining gunshot wounds to the back and left leg, respectively. Police said they are in stable condition now.
The wife of one of the Chinese nationals was unharmed, police said.
The NCRPO is investigating the incident.
