Motorists, facing the New Year with higher pumps prices as the final tranche of additional fuel-excise taxes took effect Wednesday. Transport groups are calling for an 11-pesos minimum fare for jeepneys. Commuter groups however are opposing this petition saying it will hurt minimum wage earners.
