Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 6)— A magnitude 4.9 quake struck 23 kilometers off Calatagan, Batangas, early evening of Friday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOLCS) said it was not expecting any damage or aftershocks from the 6:32 p.m. tremor.
PHILVOLCS said Intensity IV was felt in Puerto Galera and Oriental Mindoro, while Intensity III in Tagaytay City.
The tremor was also felt in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon.
