Palace declares November 13-15 special nonworking days in some areas

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 23) – The government declared special nonworking days in Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Pampanga on November 13 to 15 (Monday to Wednesday) to give way to the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings.

The ASEAN events will be held in Metro Manila and Clark Field in Pampanga.

President Rodrigo Duterte issued Proclamation 332 about the holidays on Monday.

The Metro Manila Council (MMC) earlier said it is suspending classes in all levels in Metro Manila for public and private schools on Nov. 16 and 17. The MMC is composed of all mayors ion the metropolis.

Employees who work on special non-working days are paid at least 130% of the sum of their daily rate and cost of living allowance.
