Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 29) — The weather bureau is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) that may intensify into a storm within 24 to 48 hours.
Weather specialist Meno Mendoza said the LPA may enhance the southwest monsoon (habagat) which will bring moderate to heavy rains over Luzon
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said strong winds and thunderstorms may occur over Tarlac, Bulacan, Cavite, Cavite, and Albay.
Same conditions happened earlier in Zambales, Batangas, Bataan, Pampanga, and Metro Manila.
PAGASA advises all to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
PAGASA said the LPA was last seen 970 kilometers east of Juban, Sorsogon.
