Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 2) — A 30-year-old tourist died after getting struck by lightning in General Luna, Surigao del Norte Saturday afternoon.
The victim, call center agent Lee Christian Zamora, died around 2 p.m., according to reports from RPN-DXKS Surigao.
Zamora and fellow tourists were visiting Naked Island and taking pictures when lightning struck. The tourist was declared dead upon arrival to Siargao District Hospital.
Four others were injured, including Elain Jhane Zamora, Princes Figuracion Jayme, Zuzanne Sagamol and Grace Rodriguez Tolibas.
