
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 4) — Another earthquake hit the country Saturday, this time in Occidental Mindoro.
The latest report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the temblor hit 23 kilometers (km) west of Rizal at 9:05 a.m..
Intensities were reported in the following areas:
Intensity 5: Rizal and San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Calapan, Oriental Mindoro
Intensity 4: San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
Intensity 3: Lipa City, Batangas; Malay, Nabas and Ibajay, Aklan; Libertad, Antique;
Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro
Intensity 2: San Nicolas, Batangas; Manila; Tagaytay City; Malinao, Aklan; Sebaste and Culasi, Antique; Calatagan, Batangas
Intensity 1: Talisay, Batangas; Dolores and Mauban, Quezon; San Jose, Antique
The agency said no damage and no aftershocks were expected from the quake.
