Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 14) — Just like in their first game, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters cruised to another blowout victory in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals.
The Elasto Painters scored a double digit win against the Magnolia Hotshots, 93-80, in Game 2 of their best-of-seven clash Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Ed Daquioag provided the spark for Rain or Shine with 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Norbert Torres also played a pivotal role for the Elasto Painters after scoring 13 of his 16 points in the opening quarter.
Outside shooting proved to be the difference for Rain or Shine which converted 16 in the contest, compared to the Hotshots’ seven.
Ian Sangalang and Rob Herndon each had 13 markers for Magnolia.
The Hotshots will try to avoid a 0-3 hole in the next game on April 16 at the Big Dome.
