(CNN Philippines, January 25) — The San Miguel Beermen continued to roll in the PBA Philippine Cup after defeating the Meralco Bolts, 105-93, Friday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Marcio Lassiter and June Mar Fajardo showed the way for the Beermen with 25 points and 20 points, respectively.
There was little resistance from the Bolts as San Miguel made a living in the shaded area in the entire contest.
Meralco tried to cut the deficit to single digit in the latter part of the final quarter, but the Beermen brought enough firepower.
Christian Standhardinger added 14 points, while Paul Zamar and Ronald Tubid chipped in 11 points apiece for San Miguel.
John Pinto powered the Bolts with 13 markers and five dimes.
The Beermen will try to keep its momentum going when they face the TNT KaTropa on January 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
