BIGBANG’s Taeyang, actress Min Hyo Rin engaged

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 19) — BIGBANG band member and K-pop superstar Taeyang is engaged!

The singer, revealed his engagement to Korean actress Min Hyo Rin in an Instagram post Monday.

Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae shared a picture of himself with the actress. The 29-year-old left a sweet message for his fans and his fiancee.

“Today, I want to share with you guys about the most important and joyful promise I have made in my life.I have pledged to spend the rest of my life with Min Hyorin, the one who has always stuck by me for the past four years.” said Taeyang who has a huge following along with his band in the Philippines.

His post has almost 1.5 million likes, as of Tuesday.

The two went public with their relationship in 2015. Min also starred in the music video for Taeyang’s song, “1 AM” in 2014. She is reported to be 31 years old.

Taeyang thanked his fiancee for sticking with him throughout everything. He also asked fans to remain supportive of their relationship.

“Through all the good times and the bad times, she has always believed in me and now I look forward to making a beautiful life together,” he said.

Min has appeared in several Korean shows like “Persevere, Goo Hae-Ra” and “Sister’s Slam Dunk.”
