Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 13) — Philippine National Police Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa will be appointed as the next head of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) when he retires in January 2018.
President Rodrigo Duterte announced it himself on Wednesday night when he hosted a Christmas dinner for the Malacañang Press Corps.
Dela Rosa, who is set to retire from the PNP in January 21, 2018, said on Wednesday Duterte has offered him to lead a “challenging” government agency.
But he said, “You do not assume until you have assumed office.”
