Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 3) — The most beautiful women in the universe are coming to town.
The Miss Universe Organization announced that Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere will attend the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) “Women of Significance” gala night and will headline a fashion show in the country.
The announcement was made on the pageant’s social media sites on Sunday.
“It’s happening….The reigning #MissUniverse Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, #MissUniverse 2016 Iris Mittenaere and some of this year’s contestants are heading to the Philippines!” it said on Instagram.
However, there is no word yet on when the event will happen, or which contestants will join the show.
The Miss Universe Organization said the beauty queens are “looking forward to the incredible hospitality of Department of Tourism-Philippines…seeing some of the 7,107 Islands, being a part of DOT’s Women of Significance Gala Night, and the #MissUniverse Fashion Show.”
South African Nel-Peters won the Miss Universe crown on November 27, succeeding France’s Mittenaere.
