May was the only Filipino chosen to be part of the group, besting other finalists from the country-Ylona Garcia, Jane de Leon, and AC Bonifacio.

Members of 14-member performing crew will work with Grammy Award-winning record producer and songwriter RedOne on their first studio album.

Top choreographers Kyle Hanagami and WilldaBeast will also mentor the group.

Now United, which will showcase teenage artists from different countries, will also feature:

Heyoon Jeong from South Korea

Any Gabrielly from Brazil

Hina Khan from Japan

May rose to fame in the Philippines after joining “Pinoy Big Brother: 737” in 2015, where he eventually clinched third runner-up.

The 15-year-old ABS-CBN artist has since suited up for various small roles in the network’s television shows, and released several songs.
