Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 29) — Actress and singer Sharon Cuneta on Thursday revealed she did not receive an invite to the annual Star Magic Ball, which will be held on September 30.
In an Instagram post, the “Megastar” said the invite “probably got lost on its way” to her, but wished those invited to have fun.
“Must be thrilling for everyone invited to the Star Magic Ball as they prepare for it this year!” Cuneta said.
Singer Martin Nievera then chimed in on the comments section, offering Cuneta to be his “date.”
However, the “The Voice Philippines” coach declined the invitation.
“Oh it’s okay shweetert. I have lots of important things to attend to. My babies and I can always hold our own Cinderella ball anywhere we choose to! Would’ve loved to be your “date” but no time to have a gown made na. It’s okay,” Cuneta replied to Nievera.
She added, “Don’t you worry, I know my worth.”
Other netizens commented on Cuneta’s post, expressing their support for the singer.
The Star Magic Ball is an annual gala featuring ABS-CBN’s pool of artists, with fans highly anticipating the stars’ dates, outfits, and awards.
For its 11th iteration, the prestigious event will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Star Magic, the network’s training and management arm for its talents.
