
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 20) — Malacañang has announced suspension of classes in public schools, and work in offices under the executive branch and local government units on Thursday.
The Palace said September 21, the anniversary of the declaration of martial law, is not a special nonworking holiday, but a “National Day of Protest.”
The Supreme Court has also suspended work in all courts nationwide.
Classes in private schools (all levels) are also cancelled in Quezon City and Davao City.
The following schools and universities have also suspended classes due to the expected protests planned for the day:
