
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 11) — Tropical Depression “Maring” has maintained its strength as it moves toward the Quezon-Aurora provinces.
State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 11 p.m. update that “Maring” had maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 60 kph.
As of 10 p.m., “Maring” was at 190 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon, and was forecast to move at 13 kph.
Signal number 1 is up in the following areas:
Metro Manila
Catanduanes
Camarines Norte
Camarines Sur
Northern Quezon, including Polillo Island
Rizal
Bulacan
Pampanga
Quirino
Nueva Ecija
Tarlac
Zambales
Bataan
Pangasinan
Aurora
“Maring” is expected to make landfall Tuesday afternoon over the Quezon-Aurora Area.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is also monitoring typhoon “Lannie,” (international name Talim), which entered PAR at 2 p.m., Monday.
Lannie was last spotted 1225 kilometers away from Aparri, Cagayan.
The typhoon is moving west northwest moving at 28 kph towards Taiwan.
Lannie is expected to exit the country Thursday afternoon.
