Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 30) — A Magnitude 5.1 quake hit Calayan in Cagayan Wednesday morning.
The quake hit 33 km from Calayan at 6:08 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
PHIVOLCS warned aftershocks are expected from the quake.
Reported intensity 2 was recorded in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Instrumental Intensity 2 was recorded in Pasuquin in Ilocos Norte and Sinait in Ilocos Sur.
