Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 28) — Colin Syquia captured the gold medal in the show jumping individual competition Monday at the 29th Southeast Asian Games.
Show jumping is an equestrian event that tests the skill of both horse and rider in clearing a course of fences and obstacles, with penalty points deducted for every error.
Syquia tallied a score of 37.63 points to rule the equestrian event.
Malaysia’s Qabil Dato’ Seri Mahamad Fathil (41.66 points) and Sharmini Ratnasingham (41.30 points) won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
